The Embassy of the Republic of Malawi, held the Malawi Heritage Days which was jointly sponsored by the World bank and the Embassy on the 25th&26th January 2017, at the World Bank Dinning halls. Show casing the Culture and cuisine of Malawi. The cebrations were graced with a number of dignitaries, the Group of African Ambassadors, and Malawi community among others.Malawian dishes such as; Nsima,Usipa, Mfutso,MANDASI, Beans, Goat stew, Chambo,Chipere, zitumbuwa,Malawi Mzuzu and Njuli coffee and Chombe tea among others were served during the lunch on, while soft Malawian traditional music played in the back ground creating a homely atmosphere. There were also vendors who made the occasion more admirable and captivating as they show cased and sold some Malawian clothes, accesorries, souvenirs,paintings and others. Some tables were also set up,were we displayed some of the trade merchandise produced in Malawi and also show cased our beautiful tourism destinations. It was a success, we got a good number of attendees from many countries whom enjoyed the program and were eager to know when next we shall hold something similiar and requested us to hold more of these functions.
